Meet Qaxe,
Qaxe works at our Motheo Copper Project as a Dewatering Operator.
Qaxe originally spent eight years working in a farm, before joining Sandfire in April of 2021 as a Construction Labourer. Since then, Qaxe has progressed through to a Dewatering Operator responsible for assisting in the maintenance and continuous operation of the dewatering pumps, pipeline and conduits which are required to keep the mine pit free from standing water.
With a passion for youth development, Qaxe enjoys coaching a youth football team at his home village in D’Kar during his spare time.
